Backup on iPhone

My mantis app begins opening and then shuts down. I've had numerous bible studies that I have added to this app. Each time this issue occurs I must delete the app and redownload. I don't have a problem doing that I understand software has glitches. My main issue is with the backup. After I reinstall the app I restore from backup and there are no backups displayed (IT IS COMPLETELY BLANK). I backup this app at least once a day to save all of my bible studies. Why aren't my backups showing when I go to restore from back up? Please help I don't want to continue added bible studies knowing they will not backup. Thus wasting time that I can never get back. Thank you

Scrolling on my Android

Too many devices

I just saw Mantis for Android was release. I installed it on my Nexus 7. When I tried logging on I got a message saying I have too many devices. the only place I know of where I can see my devices is at the note editors. There is only 2 devices listed. There must be another list of device somewhere?

How many devices can be on an account? I only need the account only need my iphone 4s, iphone 4, iPad, and android nexus 7 to be on my account.

Can someone help me?

will iOS 9 support be added?

once upon a time, Mantis was my absolute favorite bible app, but now we are on iOS 9.1 and it seems to have been completely forgotten. it had my favorite navigation of all bible apps, and it's notes section was flat out amazing. at my bible training school, it was the go to app for all my classmates.
I am so sad that it's been so long since you have made any updates.
is it possible the support for Mantis Bible will be restored? it needs a lot of updates it seems. it won't even open on my iPhone anymore...

It appears that this product is no longer under development. There are no posts from developers that I can find in the last month or interaction indicating this is still a viable product. Hopefully I am wrong. Will there be an update so this product works with IOS 7?

Highlighting

Is there a way that my scriptures that I have highlighted in one translation transfer to other translations? Sometimes I go to look for a verse, but can't remember which version I highlighted the particular verse in.

Could be a handy little tool...at least for me!

By the way, Mantis is my favorite Bible tool! Thank you!!!

iOS7 not allow selection of which device to restore from

I followed the upgrade instructions on my iPhone for iOS7. But when I go to notes/backup/restore xxx there are no devices to select. I have been always restoring from my iPad to keep my iPhone in sync. I tried just 'restore notes', 'restore highlights' and 'restore all'. Nothing visible to select from. So I just hit the select key and something got chosen but I don't know which. I need to specifically know which one to pick from. Please fix :(

Moving Notes & Bookmarks

Hi, I have an iPhone 3G with iOS 4 and Mantis Bible v4.8.6
I am having trouble moving / deleting bookmarks and notes from a main folder to a sub folder.
I was able to get some notes to go into the sub folder, but they remained in the main folder also. After reading a suggestion in the forum, I did a backup and deleted a notes folder, then restored the notes, with the overwrite option. The deleted folder was indeed restored, but none of the notes or sub folders were restored. I did a second restore (I did NOT do another backup first), but still, the notes and sub folders in the folder in question do not appear. Very troubling.

Second issue, I can't get bookmarks to move into a sub folder at all. I'm not about to try the backup, delete and restore scheme. Am I doing something wrong? I would appreciate your help.

Notes will not restore to new iPad

After purchasing an iPad air last year.....I have been unable to load my Bible Study Notes on to it.
The backed up notes are in the notes editor online.....I made a copy of them from the old iPad and saved them.
Then I did a "test" backup on the new iPad just to make it show up on the list of available devices...and it DID show up after doing that.
Then.....I copied the saved notes into the editor online and saved them. The same notes I had in the old iPad....with all the brackets and such that are needed.

Now is where the problem begins......when I select "Restore" on the new iPad in order to download these notes onto my new iPad.....nothing shows up to select.
I select Restore....then a prompt appears asking me to select the backup I wish to restore.....and there's nothing on the list to select.
It's in the editor online....and it has been saved.....but for some reason.....even after waiting several minutes.....that backup does not appear on the list of available backups to restore on the new iPad.

Just purchased new iPad Air 2. Did install from my previous iPad 2 yesterday 20th. Mantis works great on old iPad but Not on new I pad. On the new one I touch Mantis icon it tries to open for .5 sec. On kicks out. Won't open at all to register. I have lot of purchase would not wish to loose access on my new iPad.
Confused-- Help would very much be appreciated.

iOS 8 and iPhone 6

I was wondering if there are any plans to update Mantis Bible for iOS 8 and the larger iPhone 6/6+ screen sizes? Mantis is still my go to app for iOS Bible study tools and while it's functional, it would be really nice to utilize the full size of my screen. I've been using Mantis Bible since I purchased it on my iPhone 3Gs and have appreciated the steady stream of upgrades and updates since then. I hope those will continue!

Mantis recived. If you put your Mantis user name into the app under Tools, Options, User Name you should be able to go to the Bookmarks screen, tap Backup then tap Restore and restore your data (if you have make a backup,)

What happened to the Mantis and all my works are gone. Im very upset, no longer wants to use this program just don't believe these program .

Incomplete search query on my ipad

I have and appreciate mantis on both my iPhone and iPad. I am experiencing a problem for witch there is probably a simple solution. Lets say I need to search earth on my phone, I get 906 uses. If I search on my iPad it maxes out at 200 no matter what word I search for. Is there a setting. What am I doing wrong

Discipleship Journal reading plan

You have quite a selection of reading plans already, but there is one I would still like to request. It's the Book-at-a-Time Bible reading Plan by Discipleship Journal. It is available via the YouVersion, but I really didn't want to switch between apps.

What distinguishes this plan is that it provides a free day every seventh day, as well as having a 28 day month, meaning the 29th- 31st of each month are also free days. Those days can be used to meditate more, or catch up on any missed reading.

Also, instead of brackets, I would prefer a circle to fill as I complete my reading. Small detail!

I have a problem with the software

I think Mantis Bible software is one of the best Apps on IPhone. I have AcroBible and Biblexpress also. I'm currently using version 3.

I do have a problem.

If I'm reading one verse and I switch to look up something in a commentary or a dictionary and then go back to the bible. It will not be where I left off. Instead it will open some random (usually O.T.) verse that has nothing to do with what I'm trying to learn. I find this a big distraction having to find where I'm at in the bible all the bible. This doesn't happen if I analyze verse and stay in that screen, but if I choose to touch the link to the commentary or dictionary or if by mistake I have to re-find where I was in the bible.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do? will update help? Does this happen to anyone else?
