I have experienced two bugs with bookmarks:

1. My bookmark to John 6:45 will not delete. If delete it, it reappears the next time I launch Mantis. If I delete, backup, and restore, the bookmark reappears.

2. If I don't visit the bookmark screen before I create a new bookmark, only the newly-created bookmark will appear in the bookmark screen. If I relaunch Mantis, all of the old bookmarks reappear.

I've heard this may be a problem with bookmarks converted during the upgrade. Try backing up your bookmarks/notes, then delete them all using the Tools Options Delete all Bookmarks and see if the problem goes away.

I tried deleting the John 6:45 bookmark, backing up, deleting all, and restoring. The John 6:45 bookmark reappeared. I then deleted the John 6:45 bookmark, backed up, and deleted the Mantis program from my phone and iTunes. After I reinstalled Mantis and restored my bookmarks, the John 6:45 bookmark reappeared! I tried to delete it, but it reappears every time I restart Mantis.

I will call support next week.

After you know you have a backup, try going to Tools, Options, Delete All Bookmarks.

Now create a bookmark for John 6:45 and delete it. See if it stays gone.

I think the issue is your existing (old) set of bookmarks.

After I delete all and create a new bookmark for John 6:45, the bookmark will delete permanently. But when I restore my old bookmarks, the John 6:45 bookmark reappears and will not delete.

I noticed something else. When I delete the single John 6:45 bookmark, it disappears from the bookmark folder, and the cross disappears from the text. But if I tap on the 45 reference, my options do not include "Create Bookmark." My only bookmark option is "Delete Bookmark." No matter how many times I tap "Delete Bookmark" the option keeps appearing.

So it looks like converted bookmarks are a problem. We'll research that, in addition to the issue with the "Delete Bookmark" option. Thanks for reporting this.

I am having the same problem with Hebrews 4:3, using the latest version of the software. Is there a workaround to this, short of deleting all of my bookmarks and starting from scratch?

If you email support, we may be able look at your backup file and fix it.
