What about more German translations like Luther 1984, Elberfelder, Hoffnung für Alle, Neues Leben... Are there any plannings to offer them in future? I really like Mantis Bible Study for iPhone but currently it's less usable for me with the available German bibles.

We have plans to offer many more non-English translations, including German ones.  This will probably happen early next year.  We also plan to eventually port everything to native languages, including the interface, book names, etc.

I would be glad to see more german translations too! Especially the 'Deutsche Einheitsübersetzung' would be great.

best regards

New German bible translations are hardly existing! If you manage to offer up-to-date translations (e.g. "Elberfelder 2006" and many others) you would be the only store doing so for German bibles!

To be true there is at least one app for the iPod which gives the ability to buy german translations like Hoffnung für alle Gute Nachricht and so on ...

But unfortunaly the olivetree.com app is just good for reading the bible not for studiing it ...

I know the last post is not very actual but I would like to bump this threat up to see some modern german translations :D

We will be researching more modern German translations some time in October.

I also would like to see at least one or two good German translations. My personal favorite is Luther 1984. And/or modern one like "Gute Nachricht". Nice would be also the free Volxbibel (http://www.volxbibel.de)

I just downloaded the software yesterday - and I like very much.

It seems to be that the interest in German translations is not so big here.

I found what I am looking for at: http://www.olivetree.com/store/home.php?cat=262&language=3

There's interest here -- we're just not that big yet. But we'll get there...
