So what is the word on the NLT?
I know this has been in the works for some time now, will it ever happer?

The publisher tells us yes -- but they haven't been responding. We continue to call and email them regularly though.

So... any new news about the NLT?
Sure would be a nice addition to Mantis.

No response from them yet. I fired off another email this morning, though.

The verdict is still: patience. We continue to try to contact them, but have yet to get a response. Tomorrow begins yet another week. :)

I don't mean to apply pressure here but,
do I need to move over to Olive Tree to get the NLT?
I am very pleased with Mantis and would like to have
all my material through Mantis. But where is the NLT?

The only reason I am on top of this is because I was told it was coming.

We were told it was coming, too. I wish I had more to report, but until we get more information from the publisher we're on hold. In our last meeting with them, they indicated that they were working on a contract for us. Since then we've called and emailed many times but haven't received a response. We'll continue to be patient and to content them regularly.

It's obvious that Mantis is doing everything possible to get NLT! Maybe contacting Tyndale House Foundation or Tyndale House Publishers, Inc at tyndale.com or 630-668-8300 and request them to please complete the contract with Mantis on NLT. I have an audio version of NLT on my iPod touch and love it.
Love using 4.2.0 and can't wait for update 4.3.0 with what I have read is coming, like auto scroll, stop side slide to chapters and quick links to commentarys, Wow!! Is it possible to wear this application out from excess use?
I have 7 Bible programs on my device and Mantis is the best!

It's now been over 2 weeks since our last 4.3.0 submission to Apple, so we expect to hear something (good or bad) pretty soon.

Today we were finally contacted by Tyndale regarding the New Living Translation, and they're moving on this project again. We hope to have much more information by next week!

Sure hope they sign off on it as I am still patiently waiting...

I too have been waiting. I have it available in pocketbible but I prefer your interface.

We have received the contract from the publisher for the NLT and will begin production shortly. So it's coming soon now.

The NLT is now available for Mantis Bible Study in our online store.

Will this be available thru apple store also?

Yes, but we don't know how long it takes Apple to approve it. It'll be there eventually, though.
